"Art has always been the primary focus of my daily life. I have been an art student, art teacher and professional artist for over 20 years. Although I am capable of strong realism the principle means of my artistic communication is color and texture. These elements combined with good design are what I enjoy most during the creation of my art. My creative goal is to express positive emotions through my art, whether it be a pleasant memory, a warm feeling or just joy in the art elements that I employ."

"There is no variance of what has inspired artists throughout the ages. The flower that grew in Eden may be the same one that I am painting. What differentiates these archetypes and captivates the viewer is the rich personal tapestry that the artist brings to their art. In my travels, I have walked though history, visited museums and factories, slept in chateaus and gazed at frescoed ceilings. Woven into my memory are fragments of these patinas and the textural layers of time that guide my hand and my spirit."

Loreth, Lanie Lanie Loreth received her BA degree from Arizona State University. Her artistic style reveals the influence of many years spent as an award-winning two and three dimensional graphic designer. Lanie lives in Chandler, Arizona. "Above all, art to me is about my love and passion for artistic expression, and the experience of describing form and light with paint. Visualizing a thought and then transcending it to canvas using knowledge, skill and intuition, is the beginning. Letting the painting guide me along the way to the finish where it comes alive and the excitement happens. As the last brush stroke is placed, I hope my art stirs an emotion or brings a smile to others."

Mackechnie, Anne Anne Mackechnie grew up in picturesque Annapolis, MD, and after a brief stint in the midwest returned to her hometown in 1994. As a lettering artist, Anne has trained with some of the world's finest calligraphers. Anne's work as an illustrator began in 1994 with a request from a client to combine lettering and illustration for a packaging design. "I see our lives and relationships as being filled with moments of humor and joy that cry out to be enlarged and brought to our attention. My goal is to capture these moments in a way that would make the viewer think of a friend and smile, remember a cherished place, or escape to a new one. In my work I am trying to communicate the simple expressiveness of the way a person sits in a chair or holds an apple, or merely the lines of an old garden tool."
